Raleigh has a Fortune 500 executive track record with cross-industry experience including over 100 new enterprises launched. His experience spans the healthcare, medical technology, building products, clean renewable energy, water, government, professional services, and consumer product sectors.

 

He started his career at Procter & Gamble, where he grew into global product management responsibility and was recognized as chief innovator and champion of Swiffer, which has become a billion-dollar brand.  As a Brand Manager at Colgate-Palmolive, he helped drive Colgate Total to become the #1 toothpaste within 5 months. As Marketing Director at The Stanley Works, he increased sales over 25% on key medical technology product lines, and increased sales leads more than 500%. Top executives referred to his $120 million healthcare vertical market initiatives as “Best in Show”.

 

Raleigh founded a management consulting practice called Market Affinity Group that has advised senior leaders in over 50 organizations across North America since 2008. He has mentored and served on advisory boards of several high-impact startups that got funded and partnered with industry leaders. Raleigh achieved the top-level 1% designation with Toastmasters International, a prominent public speaking and leadership development organization where he served as a Division Director, responsible for the leadership development of several hundred members.  He was chosen as an original executive mentor with Everwise, a business leadership development organization for Fortune 500s. Everwise was founded by Maynard Webb, a prominent Silicon Valley entrepreneur, investor, and former Yahoo! Board Chair. Raleigh has been a longtime member of the Senior Executive Networking Group of New England, an organization founded in 2001 that organizes events and promotes networking for life and career-long professional development. Named Managing Director and Chair by the retiring founder, Raleigh runs all operations of the organization including the SENG Suite alumni programs which he designed and launched.

He’s been a business advisor, multi-board member, and active civic leader with the federal International Boundary Waters Commission, City Council, chambers of commerce, industry associations, state commerce department, large public school districts, startup accelerators, and executive mentoring organizations. Raleigh is an elected public official where he helps govern board budgets totaling over $100 million.  His board committee roles to date include Finance, Organization, Personnel, Facilities, Education, Policy, Energy & Climate, and Marketing.

It’s tempting to assume that life has always been easy and very good to Raleigh, but that is not the case.  What some don’t know is that he tragically missed out on what should have been a more successful career launch upon college graduation. He failed to connect with any employers, and he was not able to get the kind of career counseling he needed. Yet, through his own honest reflections and bold moves, he turned his luck around to emerge as the "1 in 500" candidate for the ideal first job in an economic recession, with the additional challenge of being a foreign national. He also found true love, and relaunched a blessed life with his wife. After 30 years together, they have 3 wonderful children doing exceptionally well in college, high school, and middle school. 

On many occasions, Raleigh has re-invented success from seemingly impossible situations. He founded Covalent Charisma Coaching to help other leaders develop to their full potential. Raleigh likes to work with people who aspire to have a positive impact on their community and build their industry stature and though leadership.
